I was recently interviewed by Living Melbourne Magazine about my photographic practise among other things.
They ran a nice old black and white shot of mine taken in melbourne around 5 years ago. I remember at the time, the image didn’t mean all that much to me, but as time has gone on, it seems to have found it’s place historically as part of the ongoing documentation of the city I’m from.
I was recently one of four photographers from around Australia commissioned by Qantas to shoot campaign photos for their new online accommodation and travel business Hooroo. Treading a fine line between documentary photographer and advertising photographer I was luckily enough sent to Broome in Western Australia (in the high of a cold Melbourne winter) to document for a few days, the things I saw, billboard conscious, from a travellers point of view. Below are some of the ads which have began appearing Australia wide on outdoor posters and billboards.
Many of my shots were also featured in this web advertisement which has also been popping up around the place…
I took a few photos and we sat back with a couple of PBR’s from the ice bucket and enjoyed the tunes.
This mix, Best Of Quantic Mix by J.Rocc brings two of my favourite DJ’s, producers, whatevers together. It’s quite a doozy.
I’ve been hard at work lately, shooting a lot, doing my tax, tying up some loose ends, but mostly updating my website, particularly the portraits. Long overdue. Click the image to take you there.
